MARRIAGE MINISTRY

The NCCF Marriage Ministry is comprised of several Life Groups supporting married couples in different stages of their lives.  The Groups meet on a regular basis, providing a safe place for couples to share common experiences in the journey of marriage.   There is no fee or obligation to join the Ministry. Couples  experience the benefits of healthy exchanges through fellowship and spiritual support.  We believe there is at least one group for every couple - Newly Married, Young and Engaged Couples, Blended Families, Military Families and Empty/Almost Empty Nesters.

 

As a ministry, we also sponsor special couples events throughout the year to provide additional forums for thought-provoking dialogue and exchange.

RESOURCES

 

• Take a stroll on the Riverwalk and reminisce about the top outings/vacations you’ve shared together.  Be sure to enjoy a dessert or appetizer from one of the many restaurants.  As an added touch, take advantage of the riverboat cruise or horse-drawn carriage ride.

 

• Play a favorite card or board game together.  Discuss a) the silliest thing you’ve ever done AND/OR b) your most embarrassing moment

 

• Choose your favorite restaurant, and have the waiter surprise you with dinner! (Be sure to let them know if you have food allergies). While you wait, ask your spouse the following question: My favorite inside joke we have is______________________.

 

• Scout out a walking tour in San Antonio and learn something new together.

 

• Designate one night to cook a meal together.  For added fun, try out a new recipe that you both like!

 

• Plan a progressive dinner with your spouse! Share an appetizer at one eatery, an entrée at another and finish by splitting dessert somewhere else. While out, slip a love note to your spouse.

A class designed for couples interested in taking their relationship to the next level by learning to better communicate, resolve conflict and work together as a team.
