The Tithe and Offering Challenge

I’ve never heard of tithing before.

If tithing and offering is new to you. We encourage you to begin at the level you are able to. Pray and ask God to help you come to the point of placing full trust in His ability to provide for all of your needs. In fact, we encourage you to take Him up on his promise found in the Bible. In the book of Malachi, God asks us to “prove” Him. This actually means to take Him at his word and test His promise. (Malachi 3:10)

What exactly is tithing?

So what is the tithe? Tithing is a principle, which comes from a covenant agreement. The tithe is the first ten percent returned to your place of worship as an act of obedience to scripture. For example, if you earned 100 dollars, the tithe would be ten percent of one hundred, which is ten dollars. The other thing about tithing is that everyone gives the same amount. So whether you earn a little or a lot, ten percent is still ten percent.

What kind of promise does God make?

What is the promise you ask? God promises that if we will bring the required tithes and offerings to our place of worship, that he would grant us a blessing that we would not have enough room to receive. That’s a pretty powerful promise! Blessings can take a number of different forms. Certainly financial is one of them, but it is not the only one.

So how do I experience the blessing of God?

If you would like to experience a positive and radical shift in your life situation, begin tithing consistently for at least 90 days and expect the promises of God to begin to manifest in your life. When God begins to fulfill His promise to you be sure to write us at NCCF and tell us about it!
