Pastoral Care Support Team

The Pastoral Care Support Team is a small group of carefully selected and trained church professionals who are prepared to offer confidential support and a "ministry of presence" to the church's membership experiencing a period of transition, crisis, or life change on behalf of the pastors and the church.  The team members work closely with the Pastoral Care Director in offering a ministry of support to the community at large.

How do we solicit help for this arm of ministry?

  • Periodic announcements are made concerning the need for more volunteers
  • Recommendations by members of the pastoral care team

What kind of people are we looking for?

  • Accessible:  Do the individuals have the time and willingness to serve others?
  • Stable:  Are they able to hear the issues and problems others will bring and maintain healthy boundaries?
  • Mature:  Are they mature enough Christians to maintain confidentiality?
